Morro Bay - A coastal town just 20 minutes away from SLO. Go for a walk or grab a surfboard and hit Morro Strand, a great local beach next to Morro Rock. Other activities include walking on the Embarcadero, checking out the local sea otters, or renting a paddleboard or kayak.

Phoenix Books - Get lost in the stacks at this bookshop. You may not get the book you want, but you will find the one you need. Located in downtown SLO next to another favorite, Boo Boo Records.

Thursday Night Farmer's Market - Check out the best local produce, music, food, and entertainment in San Luis Obispo! Every Thursday evening local vendors take over a portion of the downtown and create an amazing pedestrian experience. Grab some local flowers or produce, or try out SLO's famous BBQ.

Leaning Pine Arboretum - Located on Cal Poly's campus, this spectacular arboretum is renowned for following the University's unique "Learn By Doing" approach to academic instruction. In true Cal Poly tradition, everything you see in the garden has been designed, built, and maintained by students.

Montaña de Oro State Park - With over 8,000 acres, including seven miles of shoreline, Montaña de Oro is one of the largest state parks in California. Spectacular views, fresh breezes, and the sound of the pounding surf add up to invigorating, memorable visits.

Swing Time - Located at Dairy Creek Golf Course, Swing Time (powered by Toptracer) offers an interactive driving range experience similar to Top Golf.
